Terms of Service
Last updated: March 16, 2026
What this is
Liberty Translator is a browser extension and web service that translates euphemisms in news and government communications into plain language, and fact-checks claims against primary sources. These terms govern your use of the service.
Using the service
- You must be at least 13 years old to use Liberty Translator.
- Don't use the service to harass, abuse, or harm others.
- Don't reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell the service.
- Don't use automated tools to exceed rate limits.
Free and Pro tiers
The free tier includes 3 fact-checks per day and unlimited euphemism translation. No account is required. The Pro tier ($7/month) provides unlimited fact-checks and additional features. Pro subscriptions are billed monthly through Lemon Squeezy.
Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel your Pro subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We offer a full refund within the first 14 days of your initial subscription if you're not satisfied.
What we provide
Fact-check results are generated using AI analysis of publicly available sources. They represent our best automated assessment, not legal or professional advice. Euphemism translations are editorially curated and sourced, but language is inherently interpretive. Use your own judgment.
Liability
Liberty Translator is provided "as is." We do our best to provide accurate information, but we can't guarantee that every fact-check or translation is perfect. We are not liable for decisions you make based on our output.
Account termination
We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms. If we terminate your Pro account, you'll receive a prorated refund for the unused portion of your billing period.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated to Pro users by email. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
